When speaking about the countries with the oldest form of Civilization, a Nation located on the North West Asia, Armenia is definitely on the list
In history books, Armenia is also the earliest nation to accept Christianity in the year 301 A.D during the time when Saint Gregory also known as the illuminator persuaded Tiridates III to accept Christianity
Prior to this year, Armenians were already part of the old Armenian paganism under the theology teachings of Zoroastrianism.
The religion of Christianity in Armenia could be traced back to the 1st century A.D, and it was brought by two saints, namely : Bartholomew and Thaddeus who were both the followers of Jesus Christ.
Arabs In Armenia
The indigenes of this country are widely regarded as Arabs by the outside Middle East habitants, this assumption was made due to the fact that, Armenians maintain a very close bonds with Arabs, Turks, Kurds and Persians, thus, they are being called Armenians or Parshakian in Armenian language. Developed Armenian cities can be found in Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Israel, Syria, among other Arab middle East regions.
People from this country are mainly members of the Armenian Apostolic Church with approximately around 93% of Armenia’s population
This fact widely demostrates that Christianity has already being common among Arabian region and middle East before the advent of Islam. Other Christian Sects in the middle East and Arabian peninsula include: the Coptic and Asian Minor Orthodox Churches.
The Armenian central government didn’t accept Islam at the time of Islamic preaching. The country officially turned to the earliest nation to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ with it’s Christian history dating back to the first century A.D. Thus, as Christianity is spreading widely in the middle East, Islam is growing steadily in Europe and Asia as well.
